To ensure you experience nothing but pristine, gorgeous beaches, we’ve compiled a list of five of our favorite off-the-beaten-track beaches for your enjoyment.
Located on the western side of the island lies one of the most breathtaking beaches, Grote Knip. Flanked by semi-high cliffs that beachgoers enjoy jumping off of, and defined by the dazzling hues of turquoise and blue water. Also, this beach is free of cost to visit!
Playa Porto Mari
There’s a beautiful sandy bay found on the private estate of Plantages is known as “Porto Mari,” and it’s well worth a visit. It features a white coral sand beach, clear and calm water, and even has a small beachside bar and restaurant.
The fun name of the beach matches it’s inviting ambiance. Nestled between rocky cliffs lies a stretch of pristine sand and sparkling clear water. Loggerhead turtles have been known to nest on the beautiful beach, and once you’ll see the appeal! There are also several walking trails in the area.
Clear turquoise water, waving palm trees, and a white sandy beach combine to form the idyllic Cas Abao beach. Also located on the northwest coast of the island, Cas Abao is known as one of the most beautiful and pristine beaches, it’s ideal for lounging, swimming, and water sports. There’s also a popular daiquiri bar, a small restaurant serving lunch and snacks.
One of the top snorkeling and diving locations in all of Curacao, Playa Kalki is also an exceptional beach to lounge at. For those who are interested in diving, there’s a plane wreck to explore. For those lounging, swimming is delightful, water sports are available, and there’s a small restaurant for when your stomachs begin to rumble.
